What you should know about the upgrade process
- Windows 10 can be set to look VERY similar to Windows 7
- Windows 10 will run nearly all of the same programs Windows 7 will run
- Computers are generally the same speed or slightly quicker in 90% of the upgrades we perform
- The upgrade process takes 1.5 days – 4 days depending on several variables such as quantity of data, speed of machine, items to be installed etc…
- Computers that handle Credit Card Data, Bank Data, Accounting and Tax information, Human resource data, medical data, legal data, data that is confidential or higher is REQUIRED to be upgraded due to Computer Compliance requirements, OR may be eligible to purchase an extended Windows 7 upgrade plan.
- If you are bound by compliance requirements such as but not limited to: The Sarbanes Oxley Act, Federal Information Security Management Act of 2002 (FISMA), Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS), and the Gramm Leach Bliley Act
