In the blink of an eye you can snap the charging system on your portable devices.
We are going to help you avoid this!
Here at office and labs of WeldonPC we know that it is inevitable that all things electrical and all things mechanical WILL FAIL. Our goal is to prevent it or fix it after it happens!
The image above is a VERY broken DC Input Jack!
DC Input jack break for a variety of reasons. The most common is that when the computer is being moved while plugged in the cable is snagged or tripped over. Using the laptop on any surface besides a hard surface such as a bed or couch arm are also reasons these very important life breathing power ports are being needlessly butchered. Besides the Heat factor which we will discuss in another News article, placing your laptop in the already mentioned positions can and will put undue stress on the power cable and the power port for your equipment. Remember… it takes something like 8lbs of pressure to break a human bone. Your laptop weighs slightly less and the guts of that jack are only as thick as a pin. They were never designed to hold the weight of the laptop, just the weight of the cord you plug into it.
Assuming you have broken your dc input jack… you may be out of battery after reading this long article. Call our office if you would like our staff to fix this issue for you. It is worth it for more than 90% of the models we see.
