Windows 10 Support Has Ended: Schedule Your In-Store Windows 11 Upgrade

Microsoft ended support for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025. Windows 10 computers no longer receive regular security updates, and Microsoft's temporary Extended Security Updates program also ends on October 13, 2026. After that date, no new security fixes are available for Windows 10 at all.

What this means for you

• More risk every month. New security holes in Windows 10 will stay open, which makes viruses, ransomware and scams more likely to succeed.
• Software and devices will stop working with it. Browsers, banking sites, tax software, printers and other programs are dropping Windows 10.
• Your computer will not stop working overnight. But it becomes less safe to use every day it stays on Windows 10.

How to upgrade: call us to schedule an in-store appointment

Call 216-475-6000 to schedule your Windows 11 upgrade. When you come in:

• We check whether your computer can run Windows 11.
• We back up your files before we change anything.
• We upgrade to Windows 11 and make sure your programs, email and printer still work.
• If your computer cannot run Windows 11, we go over your options with you, such as a hardware upgrade or a replacement computer. There is no pressure, and nothing is done without your approval.

Please bring the computer, its power cord or charger, and any passwords you use to sign in.

Why upgrades are done in our store only

A Windows upgrade takes several hours and restarts the computer many times. If power or internet drops partway through, or a hardware problem turns up, the computer can be left unusable. That is why we do these upgrades on our bench, where we can check the hardware, protect your files and fix problems on the spot. We do not offer or support remote Windows 10 to Windows 11 upgrades.
